Applying for a Grant
The Avenue Trust awards grants to individuals and organisations whose work aligns with our charitable objectives. Please read the conditions carefully before applying.
Our Two Charitable Objectives
To provide housing for vulnerable and elderly adults
To support the work of charitable Christian projects in the Boroughs of Southend and Rochford
Grant Conditions
All applications are considered against the following conditions. Please ensure your project meets these criteria before submitting.
Aligned with our objectives
Grants are awarded to individuals and organisations to support projects in keeping with our two charitable objectives.
No core funding
Applications for core funding — including salaries or establishment costs — will not be considered.
Other funding sources
For larger projects, trustees generally expect other sources of funding to be identified or secured. The Trust may not consider funding a large percentage of the total cost.
Grants not advanced
Grants will not be advanced until the project commences.
Outcome report required
A full outcome report must be made available on completion of the funded project.
Application Deadlines
The Trustees meet three times a year to consider grant applications. Applications must be received before the relevant deadline to be considered at that meeting.
